How to make your son late for school…

Despite global warming (please can we have some more?), we’ve had a few cold mornings in Carnoustie this past week or so. I was heading out the door with Finlay to give him a run up to school when I noticed the heavy frost patterns which had formed on my Mazda MX-5 - or dad’s mid-life crisis as it’s also known.
Finlay was very understanding as I ran back inside to get the K10D and 16-45 zoom - as if he had any choice! The last time I’d used the camera I had the white balance set to tungsten (see previous post including comments) and it was still on this setting when I took the first shot.
I like these pics in black and white as well but I thought I’d post them with the tungsten white balance which suits the subject rather well. Finlay wasn’t actually late for school - he made it with a couple of minutes to spare - but that’s only because I quickly exhausted the possibilities of such a simply designed car. If I’d had an Edsel in the drive I might still be there yet…
